Assembled Sprung Buffer for 7 1/4" or 10 1/4" Gauge

Sprung buffers suitable for large 7 1/4" gauge or 10 1/4" gauge. This is the design used at Watford and is of a similar size to buffers historically produced by Ian Allan, Cromar White and similar manufacturers.

Most of the parts are CNC machined from EN8 steel whilst the buffer head face is laser cut from 8mm steel.

Available with three different sized buffer heads:

• 3" diameter round head
• 3 5/8" diameter round head
• 3 5/8" x 6" oval head

Supplied ready assembled and painted in red primer

Buffer head is retained by two M16 nuts at the rear of the stock.

Backing plate is 3" x 3". Mounting holes are 8mm diameter at 2" (50.8mm) centres. See pictures for overall dimensions and mounting dimensions.
