4 wheel open cabbed 'Punch' locomotive, built from an I.P. Engineering kit. An attractive design in our mind, it features steel body and chassis and motor driving onto one wheelset - battery box (takes AAA batteries) is in the cab to provide power.
Perhaps not the best assembled kit we have seen - the dummy radiator is glued on at an angle, the cab side sheets are bent, dummy axleboxes have been fitted upside down. The paintwork is serviceable but could be improved. However there is a driver blutacked to the footplate!
When we put some batteries in there was no response, so some fault finding and sympathetic restoration is required.
